Springfield, IL – The Orthopedic Center of Illinois Foundation (OCIF) is proud to announce the recipient of their annual scholarship. Rikki Koebler, a senior at Springfield High School, has been awarded the Orthopedic Center of Illinois Foundation Scholarship. She is the daughter of Kevin and Dina Coates Koebler of Springfield.
Koebler, who will be attending the University of Notre Dame in the fall to major in pre-medicine and pursue a degree as a physician, ranks 2 of 353. Her school activities include co-captain of the dance team, treasure of Student Council, member of the High Pride Spirit Club, Senators-Teaching-Senators, and Spanish Club. She is an Illinois State Scholar, recipient of the 2010 Cornell National Book Award, member of National Honor Society, Susan Cook House Student of the Month, and a 3-year All-Conference Scholar. Her community activities include Central Baptist Church Youth Group, Braveheart Therapeutic Riding Center volunteer, Co-Ed Recreational Soccer, and Memorial Medical Explorer Post.
The Orthopedic Center of Illinois Foundation award the annual scholarship to a deserving high school senior each year. It is a $1,000, renewable (up to four years), and provides tuition assistance to a full-time college-bound student majoring in a health-related field.
