Springfield, IL – Christopher W. Maender, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon at the Orthopedic Center of Illinois (OCI), recently became Board Certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS).
Dr. Maender graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, completed his residency at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, and fellowship “Hands and Upper Extremity” at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He specializes in the treatment and surgery of the hand and upper extremities.
The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Inc. functions to serve the best interests of the public and of the medical profession by establishing educational standards for orthopaedic residents and by evaluating the initial and continuing qualifications and knowledge of orthopaedic surgeons.
The Orthopedic Center of Illinois currently has 13 Board Certified physicians assuring patients receive the best care available.
